KOMT HIER EEN GELUKKIG VERHAAL ?

De vrijwilligers uit Rusland zijn erg dankbaar voor de adopties en zijn natuurlijk erg blij met alle updates uit Nederland waarin ‘hun’ dieren in de nieuwe thuis en omgeving te zien zijn.

Het zou geweldig zijn om de Russische vrijwilligers het resultaat van hun vele werk te laten zien.

Wij willen u vragen alstublieft foto’s of video’s te mailen naar mymartin@mymartin.eu om de vrijwilligers uit Rusland hun gelukkige rushonden te laten zien.

Vika came to the shelter as a puppy with her sisters and brothers. She grew up in the shelter, her contact with the humans was very limited. In April 2021, a volunteer took her from the shelter to foster. Now Vika lives in a village house with other dogs of different genders and ages.

Vika born approximately 01.05.2020 Vika is a very beautiful graceful dog – light, long-legged, with a fluffy tail and ears. Vika is a healthy young dog. But she grew up and was kept in a poor shelter until recently. Therefore, she still has a bad coat (sparse on the belly and inner surfaces of the paws). Vika is also very thin. She needs good nutrition and vitamins.

Vika eats dry food and canned food. Unfortunately, she has a very poor appetite. Only after a good walk with a volunteer does she eat actively and with appetite. Vika is a very sensitive dog. She is cowardly with strangers, especially afraid of men. And even the sight of a person passing by can make her want to run away. A woman can get to know her if she speaks in an affectionate voice, offers a delicacy (which, however, Vika will not take), you can gently stroke her. Vika is different with familiar people – she becomes very affectionate, friendly and sociable. Although Vika is cowardly, she really wants to have a human-friend. She loves walks in a quiet place, loves games and cuddle, and greatly appreciates the company of her human.

Vika communicates well with dogs of both sexes, easily gets to know each other. In the company of confident dog Vika becomes bolder. The attitude towards cats is unknown, Vika has not met with them yet. On the street, Vika does not pay attention to birds and other animals. She walks on a leash. And if nothing “terrible” happens, then she goes well. Vika likes to ride in a car – she feels safe and can safely watch what is happening on the street. Vika has practically mastered the rules of the toilet, but because of her tendency to worry, sometimes there still happens “catastrophes”. She is good to stay alone at home if the place is already familiar to her.

Despite her fear of people and insecurity, Vika has many virtues: she is a very kind, gentle and loyal dog, ready to become a true friend. We are looking for a person for Vika who has experience in keeping dogs, who understands their psychology. And most importantly – a person who is ready to teach Vika confidence and day after day open the world for her from a positive side. Vika feels much better in a quiet rural environment, outside of large streams of people.
