KOMT HIER EEN GELUKKIG VERHAAL ?
De vrijwilligers uit Rusland zijn erg dankbaar voor de adopties en zijn natuurlijk erg blij met alle updates uit Nederland waarin ‘hun’ dieren in de nieuwe thuis en omgeving te zien zijn.
Het zou geweldig zijn om de Russische vrijwilligers het resultaat van hun vele werk te laten zien.

Sonya kwam eind 2016 in het asiel terecht; ze was echt nog een puber. Ze is geplaatst in een kennel met een iets oudere hond die wel erg dominant was. Sonya is daarom voorzichtig met grote en actieve honden. Ze raakte wel snel gewend aan haar vrijwilligster die haar kwam ophalen voor wandelingen en heeft geleerd om netjes aan de lijn te lopen.
Sinds September 2019 woont Sonya bij onze vrijwilligster Galina en is uitgegroeid tot een zeer gehoorzame hond. Aan de lijn loopt ze heel rustig en als ze los kan en lekker kan rennen komt ze direct als ze wordt geroepen. Sonya is gewend aan verkeer en heeft geen angst; ook een groepje teenagers of gillende kinderen passeert ze moeiteloos. Sonya laat gewillig haar pootjes afdrogen na een wandeling; dat is soms echt nodig want ze is gek op water.
Sonya is zindelijk en als ze hoge nood heeft geeft ze dat duidelijk aan. Ze kent inmiddels ook een aantal commando’s en is een goede leerling. Bij het oversteken luistert ze naar: Stop, een auto en dan wacht ze keurig. Ze kan niet goed tegen een grote mond; ze loopt dan direct met haar kopje naar beneden
Houding tov volwassenen: Goed, Sonya kan wat afwachtend zijn maar als zij mensen herkent, dan is ze enthousiast.
Houding tov kinderen: Goed met kinderen vanaf 10 jaar.
Houding tov andere honden: Sonya maakt voorzichtig kennis met honden maar als ze hen een paar keer heeft ontmoet speelt ze er graag mee. Ze is gek op kleine hondjes, daar rent ze direct op af.
Houding tov katten: Goed, Sonya houdt echt van katten. Speciaal kittens hebben haar hart gestolen en daar moedert ze graag over.
Kan alleen zijn: Sonya is eigenlijk nooit alleen omdat er altijd andere dieren om haar heen zijn; maar als het baasje er even niet is gaat het goed.
Autorijden: Goed.
Gezondheid: Sonya is gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en heeft een dierenpaspoort.
Voorkeur woonomgeving: Een huis met een tuin(tje) zou heel prettig zijn.
Voorkeur adoptanten: Sonya is het best op haar plek in een gezin met wat grotere kinderen of bij een alleenwonend persoon of koppel.
Sonya came to the shelter before the New Year 2016. Little teenager. They put her in an open-air cage with another older teenager, who made great pressure on her. Therefore, Sonya is very cautious about large and active dogs.
Nevertheless, she very quickly got used to the volunteer, began to go for a walk and learned to walk on a leash. And she remembered her nickname very well.
Since September 2019, Sonya has been living with our volunteer Galina at her house. Now she is an adult and very obedient dog. Walks well and calmly on a leash. But very happy running without a leash. She responds well to her nickname and immediately runs up to a person. She knows the “Stand” command, then I give the command “To me” and she immediately comes up. Understands the command “Fu” and “Not.” But there is something to pick up from the ground … And if I scold her and raise my voice, she offends. Then she follows me with her head bowed. Now we are learning the Sit command. And she always gives a paw whenever she wants, but she doesn’t understand the command “Give a paw”.
Sonya does not react to the bicycle and the scooters, does not scare it, she just bypasses them and returns to me. Also bypasses the company of teenagers and screaming children, and then returns to me. I always tell her “Do not be afraid” and “To me.” She meets dogs and people carefully, but for the second time she is already running to caress people and play with dogs. Sonya is especially good with small dogs.
I walk with her around the highway without a leash, she is not afraid of cars and runs alongside all the time, and always runs back … then she returns immediately to the “To me” command. When we cross the road, I give her the command “Stand, car!”, She stops and waits for the car to pass. And we calmly cross the road. Coming home, she immediately runs to the bathroom to wash and wipe her paws after a walk.
Eats everything – dry food with canned food and natural. Loves dog treats. She tolerates with the toilet at home, only on the street. But if force majeure happens, she runs from side to side – this warns – she wants to go to the toilet.
Good with cats, especially kittens. Treats them like a mom. Licks from head to paws … And they sleep under her “wing”. Loves to cuddle and caress. As soon as I sit down on the sofa, she immediately lays down next to me … and begins to lick my hands and face …Sonya must be with a person …
She sleeps next to me, but also loves her place. Travels good in a car. Adores to swim and water. For her it’s better a calm family without small children. Dogs and cats are welcome. Country house and house with a small garden.
