Shaluun is living his dream in Den Haag, nearby the beach. He always runs there without a leash, but sometimes he is soo caught up in sniffing around that he doesn’t answer to the command “here”. So there’s still some work to do.

Speurneus Shaluun, energiek, speels en altijd vrolijk, heeft de gave om van elke dag een feestje te maken, nieuwe avonturen aan te gaan en deelt dat graag met zijn mensen. Shaluun is aanhankelijk en graag bij mensen in de buurt. Shaluun kent al wat commando’s, zoals zit en wacht. Hij is gehoorzaam en leergierig. Aan de lijn lopen gaat prima. Een geweldige hond om mee te gaan trainen, speuren of avontuurlijke wandelingen te ondernemen.

Op een natte en winderige avond in de lente van 2017 stopte er een auto bij een pompstation. Er werd een hond uit gegooid. Met volle vaart verdween de auto in de duisternis. De pompbedienden hadden medelijden met deze jonge hond en hebben hem binnengelaten en gekalmeerd. Omdat een pompstation een onveilige plek is, werd de inmiddels tot Shaluun omgedoopte hond, vrij vertaald ‘ondeugdje’, naar een privé-asiel in Moskou gebracht. Waarom Shaluun, die ongetwijfeld ooit huishond was, is gedumpt zullen we nooit weten.

Shaluun verblijft nu samen in de opvang (omg. Gouda) met een ouder teefje en dat gaat prima samen. Als ze alleen zijn gaat hij rustig liggen tukken tot het weer tijd is voor actie.Hij vindt het heerlijk om uitgebreid de omgeving te verkennen en gaat graag achter een frisbee of bal aan. Shaluun heeft kort kennisgemaakt met de katten. Zodra hij doorhad dat zij niet op hem zaten te wachten, besloot hij dat ze vermeden dienen te worden. Autorijden vindt Shaluun interessant, hij kijkt nieuwsgierig uit het raam naar welke bestemming hij gaat. Shaluun past prima in een actief gezin, eventueel met kinderen die oud genoeg zijn om met deze sterke jongen te spelen en rennen.

7. The history of the dog
Shaluun lives at the private shelter. In early spring of 2017, on a windy and rainy night, a car arrived at one of the Moscow gas stations. The door of the car opened and a trembling frightened dog was thrown out of it. The car sped off …
The refueling workers regretted the unfortunate animal, let it into the room, wiped it up, fed it and calmed it down.
The dog was very young, very funny and companionable. Infinitely playful and a little fussy.
But refueling is a dangerous place for animals, so Shaluun (as he was called) came to live at the private shelter.
Why is obviously a domestic dog so suddenly lost her family and home? One can only guess. Quite possibly, Shaluun was presented as a toy to children, and when his endless playfulness bothered him, he was simply thrown out like an old broken doll.
Or maybe his master had died, and the active dog irritated the heirs? … We will not know the truth.
And Shaluun – here he is! Yes, he is very active and constantly seeking to learn something, explore everything around him, play, run and roll in the grass or dive into the snow.
Is it bad? !!! Look at him – he is a dream for a friendly sports family!
You like morning runs at the early hour – Shaluun will be happy to run alongside! Your children want to play frisbee, a ball, just catching up – great, Shaluun will be a great partner to them. Love traveling – Shaluun rides beautifully in a car and with great pleasure explores new places.
