Een prachthond met drie poten. Slechts één voorpoot. Vandaar ‘special project’. Om maar meteen duidelijk te zijn: Aan medelijden heeft Oslo niks.
Stel, hij komt bij u terecht. Dan is het belangrijk dat hij niet te dik gaat worden. Dat is alleen maar overbelasting voor zijn nog goede voorpoot.
Onkosten in de toekomst behoort tot de mogelijkheden. Door het moeten opvangen van zijn gewicht met slechts één voorpoot kan deze poot op den duur overbelast geraken. Pijnstillers, misschien een brace om zijn goede voorpoot te ondersteunen… Een operatie zal nooit mogelijk zijn omdat hij niet op slechts twee achterpoten kan lopen. Ook een zgn. hondenrolstoel is niet mogelijk voor dit soort handicap.
Ook bestaat er een kans dat Oslo op een dag lichamelijk niet meer ‘kan’ maar dat hij verder nog wel fit en helder in denken is. Emotioneel zal dit zwaar zijn.
Waarom toch deze prachthond adopteren?
Niet omdat het moet, maar omdat je dit zelf wil. Oslo lekker door je tuin laten scharrelen, niks hoeft, geen lange wandelingen. Hij mag en kan slapen op een dik kussen. Hij krijgt zijn liefde en aandacht in plaats van in je eentje in een rothok. Uiteraard wel ‘reuring’ om hem heen omdat u zelf bijna altijd thuis bent, misschien andere honden om hem heen waar hij niks van te vrezen heeft.
Oslo kan niet vooruit denken, hij leeft in het NU. Wij gunnen hem nog duizenden dagen in het NU. Hij gaat niet nadenken wat er allemaal mis kan gaan. De kunst is samen met hem genieten van elke dag en dit kunnen nog tig jaren zijn maar als er letterlijk ‘een kink’ in zijn voorpoot komt, kan het snel afgelopen zijn.
Kunt u dit emotioneel aan? Kunt u voor hem de juiste beslissingen nemen? Oslo is ter adoptie voor het aangepaste adoptiebedrag à € 200,-
Heeft u een groot hart, zou u het heerlijk vinden om elke keer als je thuis bent, deze hond te zien,
lekker te aaien, hem liefde te geven, hem te zien ‘hupsen’ door de tuin? Één ding is zeker, hij zal niet over de schutting springen!

3. Appearance – half-breed of the Dutch Shepherd (we think so maybe mistaken). The wool is medium. Color: gray with white markings, very beautiful. A huge head with intelligent eyes, standing small ears. Beautiful in a canine.

5. Health – clinically healthy; right paw has been amputated, but it does not bother him, he walks good himself
6. Castration / Sterilization: neutered. Chipped. Vaccinated.
7. The history of the dog
Oslo was found on the road with his mother, who protected him and protected him from other dogs and ruthless people. Oslo’s front right paw was mutilated and wrapped in an unimaginable angle to his chest. The fractures oozed with blood. He licked his paw …. He tried to lick, it’s pain, constant, exhausting pain … No wool – a huge wound … Please look at his picture you can see how it looked in the beginning
And his mother protected him …. And did not let others break dogs, which there is a whole pack – 10 dogs. And she did not let him die of hunger – well, what kind of an earner … And so for several days or months …
With great difficulty, both of them were transported to a private shelter, underwent a complicated paw amputation operation. A difficult process of getting used to new life conditions began in the absence of paw and freedom. But Oslo is very responsive to human affection, he believed in people again. Also has gone on contact perfectly. Unfortunately, the mother of Oslo died in April 2018 because of a curvature of the intestines and Oslo quickly moved to foster place. Where he quickly got used to the new conditions and new comrades. He likes his big friend dog Sotchi
8. Nutrition – allergies not detected. Eats dry food / canned food. Loves dog treats.
9. Character – general – calm, patient, balanced. Likes to watch the games of dogs, very friendly, but without intrusiveness, with a huge sense of self-worth. Perfectly gets along with people and other dogs. Dogs treat him with great respect.
10. Attitude towards adults – absolutely not aggressive, does not growl, does not rush. Patiently endures the caresses of strangers, acquaintances get along perfectly, substitute the belly and head. For hours can admire the nature. Especially in summer time when the sun is shining
11. Attitude towards children – he got on well at the shelter with the children, there was no experience of communicating with the children at foster place but we will check for sure
12. Attitude to other males and bitches – adequate. Perfectly fits in a pack, makes himself respect, respects the territory of others. Not dominance. Calm and patience. Stable.
13. Attitude towards cats – Excellent, observes with interest. Aggression does not show. Just very interested in without hunter instinct
14. Attitude towards other animals – do not react to chickens and birds. Not interested in.
15. As he walks on a leash – to the leash accustomed. Absolutely does not pull. Big walks are not for him. The optimal distance for a single walk is not more than one kilometer. It is difficult to move on three legs, he gets tired quickly. But on the territory of the garden walks perfectly, rests resting and again jumps like a small Donkey.
16. Does he know any commands: he does not know the commands. Commands are not in priorities for him.
17. How to ride in the car: calm.
18. Can he stay at home alone – yes he can. Nothing spoils and does not scare the house. It seems the domestic pet in his past
19. The toilet – twice – three times per day. Outside. Likes to lay down on the grass and dreaming
20. Toys -To toys is indifferent.
21. Wishes for the owners – so we dream of a quiet house with own garden with calm and very kind masters who can fall in love with such an unfortunate and such a patient dog. If you have a house with a small garden to let Oslo stays there most of time especially in summer time – then You should adopt him!
