Mukhtar was born in June 2017. Now he is about 7 months, he’s just a kid, funny and a bit clumsy. Still quite a young pup (at the age of about 3 weeks) he was left in a cardboard box in suburban settlement to the guard house. Mukhtar couldn’t eat solid food and the guard had to feed him from a bottle with substitutes of mother’s milk. When Mukhtar grew up, it became clear that he was a half-breed of the German shepherd dog with a characteristic black & brown color. Now Mukhtar weighs 25 kg, shoulder heightis 57 cm, but he’s supposed to be a little bigger. Neck girth – 54 cm, chest girth – 74 cm, healthy, sterilized.

Mukhtar is a male name of Arabic origin, meaning of the name – “the chosen one”. This name was given to him by the guard – a Tajik by nationality. In Russia and the former Soviet Union it is a very popular name for dogs. Now Mukhtar lives in a temporary home with other six dogs (5 females and 1 male) and all live peacefully. He is friendly with strange dogs, shows interest, but with caution. Attitude towards cats is unknown. The birds trying to hunt.

Mukhtar walks well on a leash, is quiet, does not pull on the leash. Walks well without a leash, not running away, trying to stay close. The character is quite calm, balanced, and obedient. He can be easily trained, loves affection, very attached to his master, but unobtrusive. At home is quiet, keeps near a person. Loves people, always happy to meet new guests, treats strangers suspiciously, may bark, but if Mukhtar sees that the man is friendly, he gets acquainted with the stranger gladly. Deals with children very well (communicated with the children of 3 and 10 years old). Behaves perfectly in the car. Knows commands “sit down”, “lie down”, “come to me”, “give the paw”.

Toilet outdoors still three-four times a day, because he’s a puppy. Loves toys, ropes, rubber balls and toys. Loves to chew bones, will never refuse to eat dog treats. Eats dry food but loves natural and organic food. No allergies.

Because of his young age can sometimes play mean tricks – to chew the couch or the mat on the floor. While he lives in a temporary home, Mukhtar wasn’t left alone for a long time, so we can’t say how he will behave in such a situation. But in the presence of people he doesn’t spoil furniture or any things, but plays with his toys.

Mukhtar will suit any family – either pensioners or young people, with children and other dogs, but he will not tire the master of excessive activity. He is good for living in the house as well as in the apartment.
