Michelin leefde in Rusland bij een gezin samen met zijn broer Tyoma. Al van pup af aan tot juni 2017. Echter, toen deze mensen verhuisden vonden ze het teveel moeite om de honden mee te nemen. Ze lieten ze achter als ‘cadeau’ voor de nieuwe huiseigenaren, die hier niet op zaten te wachten en niet naar hen omkeken. Een bouwvakker, die in het huis aan het werk was, heeft zich een poosje over hen bekommerd. Nadat het werk klaar was kon hij niets anders doen dan hen naar een privé asiel brengen.
Michelin, koosnaampje Mishka, wat beertje in het Russisch betekent, zoekt een baasje dat hem zijn verleden kan doen vergeten en hem uitnodigt om onderdeel van het gezin te zijn.
Houding tov volwassenen: Grote, aandoenlijke, donkere Michelin is een goedmoedige reus met zachtaardige inborst. Naar vreemden kan hij wat afwachtend zijn, maar hij is zeker nieuwsgierig genoeg om kennis te willen maken. Al snel ligt hij aan je voeten. Geduldig wacht hij op wat komen gaat. Een wandeling, eten, een knuffel. Alles wordt met blijheid ontvangen. Tijdens het wandelen loopt hij rustig snuffelend met je mee.
Houding tov andere honden: Vanaf het moment dat hij bij de foster thuis is, heeft hij zich kalm aangepast. Hij is niet overdadig geïnteresseerd in soortgenoten. In Rusland deelde hij zijn kennel met een teefje en nu in de opvang verblijft hij met een teefje en een reu.
*Update 10-2018: In Nederland gedraagt Michelin zich wisselend tov reutjes in het fostergezin.

The dogs were just thrown in the house. The new owners of the house such a “gift” from the former owners, naturally did not like. They didn’t need foreign dogs. So in June 2017, Michelin came to the private shelter.
