Lara speelt voor het eerst met haar kong. Erin zit wat versvoer en stukjes bruin brood.

Mooie Leia is actief, vrolijk, speels, gehoorzaam en ook een beetje verlegen. Ze loopt, na de eerste 10-15 minuten wat getrokken te hebben, netjes mee aan de lijn. Ze leert momenteel ook enkele commando’s. Leia is een leuke hond om mee te gaan trainen. Momenteel wordt ze 3x daags uitgelaten en is zindelijk.

Leia is het zusje van Luke en Fairy. Ooit belandde ze met haar moeder, broertje en zusje op een vluchtstrook van een snelweg. Niemand weet hoe ze daar terecht kwamen. Auto’s reden met hoge snelheid voorbij. Terwijl de argeloze puppies in de berm speelden, onbewust van het gevaar van het verkeer, rende mama-hond in paniek heen en weer. Allerlei mensen, die met grote haast over de weg raasden, besteedden geen aandacht aan dit gezinnetje. Gelukkig zijn ze opgemerkt door een vrijwilligster die haar auto aan de kant zette en zonder aarzeling de hondjes mee nam. Mama en haar puppies waren veilig; ze krijgen aandacht, liefde en wat opvoeding. De kleintjes hebben hun moeder nu niet meer nodig en zijn klaar voor een nieuwe stap: een eigen baasje en een eigen mand.

Houding tov volwassenen: Goed, Leia is mens- en baasgericht.

Houding tov kinderen: Leia kan prima bij kinderen die al wat steviger op hun benen staan. Ze is nog jong en zou kleine kinderen in haar enthousiasme omver kunnen lopen.

Houding tov andere honden: Aan de lijn is Leia wat afwachtend naar andere honden. Als er een nieuwe pleeghond in het gezin komt is ze uitermate enthousiast. Ze gaat ook heel goed om met de andere aanwezige honden. Leia kan prima als tweede hond worden geplaatst.

Houding tov katten: Goed, Leia leeft samen met katten en heeft niet veel belangstelling voor katten, ze zal er hooguit een keer aan snuffelen. Leia heeft geen jacht instinct.

Kan alleen zijn: Leia is nu eigenlijk nooit alleen, omdat er altijd andere dieren om haar heen zijn. Dat gaat goed zolang ze ter afleiding iets heeft om op te kauwen.

Autorijden: Goed.

Gezondheid: Leia is gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en heeft een dierenpaspoort.

Voorkeur woonomgeving: Geen voorkeur.

Voorkeur adoptanten: Leia past prima in een gezin met kinderen en andere huisdieren, maar wordt ook zeker gelukkig bij een actief persoon of koppel dat plezier met haar wil maken.

   No one knows where this poor dog family appeared on the dividing strip of the busy highway.
   Cars passed by at great speed, and small puffy clumps of puppies carelessly played in a plume of dust. Trying to pull the puppies away from screaming cars, their mother ran around in a panic, and not realizing the danger of being hit and crushed by fluffy lumps merrily ran after each other.
   People hurrying about their business did not pay attention to the dogs, and the death under the wheels of the next car rushing past was very close …
   But then a miracle happened – a volunteer girl passing by noticed the family and without hesitation took the unfortunates out of a dangerous place.
   Mommy and her puppies came to live on a job, where they are cared for and taught good manners.
   Puppies have already grown up completely and no longer need a mother.
   The time has come for everyone to find their friend-man and home.
