KOMT HIER EEN GELUKKIG VERHAAL ?

De vrijwilligers uit Rusland zijn erg dankbaar voor de adopties en zijn natuurlijk erg blij met alle updates uit Nederland waarin ‘hun’ dieren in de nieuwe thuis en omgeving te zien zijn.

Het zou geweldig zijn om de Russische vrijwilligers het resultaat van hun vele werk te laten zien.

Lama is erg mensgericht en haar familie is het allerbelangrijkste in haar leven. Ze hunkert naar goedkeuring en liefde en is daar zo zichtbaar dankbaar voor.

Toen de vrijwilligster Lama leerde kennen was ze een verstoord en voorzichtig hondje. Niet zo ongewoon voor een hond die op een industrieterrein het levenslicht zag en daar 10 maanden rond doolde. Twee maanden nadat Lama in opvang kwam zag je haar veranderen in een sociaal en onbevreesd hondenkind.  

Lama heeft gedurende haar leven op het industrieterrein een oog letsel opgelopen. Ze krijgt hier nu druppels voor om het niet te laten ontsteken. Volgens de dierenarts is het aan te bevelen om dit 1 of 2x per jaar te laten checken. Ze heeft er overigens geen last van.

Houding tov volwassenen: Lama is mensgericht en krijgt graag complimentjes. Ze loopt keurig mee aan de lijn en als ze los kan, speelt ze graag met anderen honden. Thuis is ze echt voorbeeldig.

Houding tov kinderen: Goed; Lama is zelf eigenlijk ook nog een kind.

Houding tov andere honden: Goed, Lama vindt het leuk om met andere honden te spelen.

Houding tov katten: Goed

Kan alleen zijn: Goed.

Autorijden: Lama heeft nog wat moeite met autorijden en heeft neiging om wagenziek te worden; het gaat nu steeds beter als ze van te voren niets heeft gegeten.

Gezondheid: Lama is gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en heeft een dierenpaspoort.

Voorkeur woonomgeving: Een huis met een tuin.

Voorkeur adoptanten: Lama is een uitstekende hond voor een gezin dat reeds ervaring heeft met honden. Het allerbelangrijkst is een zorgzame en liefdevolle omgeving.

Lama, 1 year old, about 50 см of height and 20 kg of weight, neutered, vaccinated, chipped. She is regularly de-wormed and treated for all external parasites. Lama walks excellently on a leash.

At the time of taking Lama under my supervision I perceived her as a very distrustful, cautious dog, always in doubt. It is quite normal for a dog that was born in an industrial area and spent the first 10 months of her life there. Without getting much care from people. As soon as Lama got into a foster family or, to be more precise, 2 months in, she changed just by herself and can now be considered a fully socialized dog without any fears. Lama is very human oriented, the family will be the centre of her universe, she will be looking at your eyes longing for care and approval. Lama needs love and care. She is very human oriented.

While walking Lama behaves ideally, she walks by side, does not pull the leash. If she is let off the leash to play with other dogs she will really let herself go and enjoy it enormously. Lama behaves very delicately at home. She get along well with cats and other dogs. Lama is also friendly with kids, she met some while walking and she seems to take them positively.

Lama behaves quietly while riding a car but, unfortunately, she gets sick. I hope that step by step this will change. For now, it is better not to feed her before a car trip.

Lama can stay at home alone.

In general Lama is a healthy dog but when she was living in that industrial area she had her left eye injured. She is now being treated with some eye drops and ointment to stop inflammation. According to our ophthalmologist she need to be checked once or twice a year just to be on the safe side.

When I come to visit Lama I see how longing she is for me, how much she wants to be close to me. She is an extremely grateful dog! Lama lives in a foster family and eats natural food, sometimes she gets dry food and canned dog food.

Lama will be a good dog for an experienced family, maybe the one with other pets. It is desirable that this family lives in a house with some garden. The most important criteria for the potential family is love for pets. Lama really deserves to be loved and live in a caring environment.
