Juli kwam in september 2020 bij ons. Toen we haar ophaalden zagen we pas dat het best een grote hond was. Ze zat als een soort Scooby Doo achterin onze auto. De eerste maanden moest ze echt wel wennen aan alles: het nieuwe huis, de nieuwe baasjes, de nieuwe omgeving, andere honden. En een kat in huis. Ze vond dat best spannend. Logisch natuurlijk. Het heeft al met al wel meer dan een jaar geduurd voordat ze echt volledig ontspannen thuis was bij ons. Maar wat een heerlijke hond zeg!

Ze is heel slim en weet vooral ook heel goed wat ze zelf wil. We zijn helemaal gelukkig met haar en zij heeft ook geen hekel aan ons ;). De eerste maanden hebben we ook veel gehad aan de goede nazorg en tips en adviezen van MyMartin. Zoals je ziet op de foto is Juli dol op zuivel en ze houdt enorm van lekker achter ballen aan rennen. Haar naam? Die is nog steeds Juli. Uitgesproken op zijn Russisch.

Juli is grappig, speels en zo slim als een vos. Het is zo’n andere hond geworden en dit is zo’n schitterend resultaat: van ongeleid projectiel naar een liefdevol meisje.

Juli (ook wel Julia genoemd) is op een parkeerplaats van een snelweg gevonden toen ze nog maar een maand of twee was. Een vrijwilliger heeft haar mee naar huis genomen waar ze samen met 6 jonge katjes in één kamer verbleef. Op een gegeven moment is ze weer op straat beland waar ze een jaar doorbracht. Pas in de lente van 2017 kreeg Juli onderdak bij een andere vrijwilligster.

De hond zag er uiterlijk niet slecht uit maar ze was absoluut niet opgevoed. Ze liep slecht mee, had weinig geduld en moeite met katten; gewoon totaal ongehoorzaam. Juli snapte gewoonweg niet wat er van haar verlangd werd. Als ze werd gecorrigeerd ging ze op haar rug liggen en maakte vreselijk kabaal. Het heeft zo’n vier maanden geduurd om Juli te begrijpen en haar de basis regels van het wonen in een appartement bij te brengen. Een moeizaam traject, maar…

De jonge dame groeide in haar gedrag en leerde de liefde en aandacht die ze kreeg te waarderen. Ze heeft weer vertrouwen in mensen en werd langzamerhand weer kalmer en ging ook netjes mee lopen. Ze wacht nu keurig tot het haar beurt is voor een wandeling. Ze is super zindelijk. Ze wordt daar ook de hemel voor ingeprezen en weet dat ze er voor wordt beloond. De vrijwilligster heeft Juli geleerd dat haar hysterisch gedrag tot niets leidt en dat deze tactiek niet werkt. Het kwartje is bij Juli gevallen en nu wil ze niets liever dan de vrijwilligster pleasen.

Houding tov volwassenen: Naar onbekenden is Juli wat afwachtend; naar voor haar bekende mensen absoluut vriendelijk en lief en trouw. Juli kent inmiddels aardig wat commando’s (Kom, zit, lig, op je plaats) en leert super snel. Een fantastische hond om een cursus mee te doen. Ze loopt ook netjes mee aan de lijn en blijft dicht bij de persoon in de buurt.

Houding tov kinderen: Juli kan prima overweg met kinderen vanaf een jaar of 10 alhoewel ze kleinere kinderen ook rustig benadert.

Houding tov andere honden: Goed, Juli vindt soortgenoten geweldig; ze gaat kwispelend op ze af. Ze kan zowel met reutjes als teefjes leuk spelen. Momenteel leeft ze samen met 9 honden; ze kan prima als tweede hond worden geplaatst.

Houding tov katten: Juli vindt katten leuk en interessant en wil graag met ze spelen. Ze zal ze geen pijn willen doen en weet bij de huiskatten precies met wie ze kan spelen en welke kat ze beter met rust kan laten.

Kan alleen zijn: Ze is nu soms alleen met de andere dieren en haar gedrag wisselt: meestal gaat het goed maar soms maakt ze iets stuk of doet een plasje; dat laatste gebeurt echt zelden.

Autorijden: Goed. Juli vindt autorijden echt leuk, want ze weet dat ze dan mag gaan rennen en spelen.

Gezondheid: Juli is gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en heeft een dierenpaspoort.

Voorkeur woonomgeving: Geen voorkeur. De enige eis: een thuis gevuld met liefde.

Voorkeur adoptanten: Juli is een super slimme hond die een rotleven heeft gehad en een zachte benadering nodig heeft. Ze past prima bij een gezin met wat oudere kinderen (en andere dieren) en zal ook zeker een eenpersoons huishouden of koppel verrijken met haar vrolijke aanwezigheid.

7. History of a dog

Juli or Julia found on the road at the age of 2 months, someone threw the baby on the carriageway of the highway. Driving past her saw a volunteer and took. Cheerful “baby” went to the juggling, where she lived in one room with kittens for six months. Then the dog moved to the street enclosure, where she lived for about a year. All this time, the volunteer didn’t pick out the dog, and only in the spring of year 2017 she was able to take her to her home.

According to external data the dog was very well-fed and absolutely not educated. There were difficulties with walking, patience, cats, and in general with obedience. Juli simply did not understand what to do, what the rules are, and how to behave. Unfortunately, with strict shouting or punishment, the dog fell on its back, pressed its paws and began to shout hysterically. It took 4 months to not only find contact with the dog, but also to agree with her about the basic rules for living in an apartment. It was difficult, but …….

“Young lady” blooms. The dog understood that such a person’s attention and care, she really liked it. She finally trusted, and begins to understand that it may well be treated. Slowly accustomed to patience and walking, patiently waiting for their turn to walk. Julia has become neat and clean, for which she has been praised a lot and given “sweets” and she likes it. Tantrums and backfilling are almost completely gone. The volunteer chose a model of behavior that did not leave Julia’s chances of scuffing. The cunning dog realized that it was not working, that its cries were ignored and did not cause pity. Realizing that this tactic does not work, the dog stops doing so. Now she tries to step up and ask for a petition, give a paw, “lick it off”. Julia shows that she never will never do that again.

Julia is a smart, funny, playful “sly hat”. The dog had no experience in communicating and living with a person. Now her life has changed, and the dog began to change. Julia rediscovers this world for herself and finds a lot of good in it. It opens up. Is changing. These changes are visible and very pleasant. The most important thing about which it is possible to say with confidence that the dog trusted the person, accepted its rules and observes them.

Julia learns to be friends and communicate with dogs and cats. With other dogs quietly in the common room. Played with pet Sheany (the male dpg already adsopted in Moscow) and Faney the winder (female), with the rest exactly. On the street Julia runs to get acquainted with everyone, big, small, it does not matter, the main acquaintance, wags his tail !!!!!

With cats “young lady” plays. Sometimes it flirts, it can grab gently, but a strict shout and Julia stops. When choosing from 4 cats, Julia plays with the most playful and fun, she does not fit the strict and serious cat, knowing that she can punish. “Young lady” understands what is possible and what is not. Julia is a very intelligent dog, she needs caring and tender hands, she needs a family ready to bestow attention and love on a dog that has encountered human cruelty. Gentle, affectionate and quivering dog will be the most grateful and devoted friend for this family. Julia is drawn to the man and wants to communicate with him. She is fully ready to enter the family for life. She is waiting for her very much.

8. Food. No allergies have been identified. Eats dry food / canned food. Loves dog treats.

9. Character – general temperament – cheerful, playful, joyful.

10. Attitude to adults – with a stranger, she carefully contacts. With familiar people behaves absolutely friendly, caressed, rejoices.

11. Attitude to children – in a family with children over 10 years old, but when communicating with small children, it comes in contact.

12. Attitude to other males and bitches – goes to contact, wants to meet and play.

13. Attitudes towards cats – Interested, wants to play with them, does not show aggression.

14. Attitude towards other animals – unknown. Not a hunter dog.

15. How to walk on a leash – accustomed to the leash, walks normally.

16. Does any team know: knows commands: “To me”, a little “Near”, “Sit”, “Lie down”. The command “Place” knows “for 5 plus”. Knows the team “Go around.” In Russian. A very good student.

17. How to drive: fun! She knows that she is going to the dog playground, that she will now run and play there.

18. Can she stay at home alone – in some places she behaves well, sometimes she can break something or “inflate”, but this is rare, she learns to tolerate and not to disorderly.

19. Toilet – accustomed. 3 times per day.

20. Toys – she likes to walk, she does not go far from a person. For toys indifferent.

21. Wishes for owners – she is able to be the 2nd dog with both a male dog and with a bitch, non-conflict. In the apartment the volunteer lived with 9 dogs and males and bitches, she is friendly with everyone.

22. Wishes at the place of residence – all housing options are considered, but preferably to an apartment or a country house to a family that will love and practice it.
