MEI 2025
Vanavond hebben we heel acuut en, ondanks haar hoge leeftijd, onverwacht, afscheid moeten nemen van onze Emma.
In 2013 kwam ze bij ons.
We gaan je ontzettend missen, lieve meid 😢
MEI 2013
Found a dog….probably she was hit by a train. We made dog an operation: amputated her front leg and tail.
as I wrote earlier – Emma made the amputation of the tail and paws. She is now temporarily living in a volunteer’s house. Every day they go to the clinic for infusion + injections in her leg. After the operation, she immediately got on the remaining three legs. dog’s age of 6-8 months.
Emma broke up the seam on the side of the amputated leg was cut-there leather and when it sewn up, the skin is stretched and now seam broke and Emma again drove in veterinary hospitals sew up the wound.
From the positive: Emma is jumping around the house on three legs, while doing toilet at home, it needs a harness. To take her out on the street
her leg was amputed not whole only foot – She left hanging a part of leg and it still has not healed and skin stretched to the bone badly –
it is constantly spreading and the wound festers. Every day woman from foster come with her to veterinary to dressing bandages
operation was made very bad
usually in such situation veterinary amputated whole leg under root. I do not think that their dressing will help to heal
Last news about Emma: She is very positive girl greeted everyone with wagging tail and other parts of the body. When we took her to veterinary clinic o dressing bandage (it needed to do EVERY day) she refused so we carried her on hands to car. She is perfectly understand where she was being taken. Her paw heals very very poor – veterinary made her operation very badly – they should had to amputated whole leg but they keep a part and they made seam in the end of this leg but it was needed to wrap the skin and make seam up the leg…so the wound not heal..seam is constantly spreading as skin is not tight and every day foster take he for bandages. But i think it is not working…And yes veterinary said that Emma is almost a puppy – only 7 months
03 December we brought Emma on foster to Jolanda Holverda. So now Emma live in save and warm place there she has all care and attention. This dog is absolutely awesome! She adores to pet and lie on her back.
Her paw still not health…and need to change bandage every 2 days because it becomes all in blood.
Jolanda already showed Emma to vet. So it was decided to make one more operation – amputate this paw whole part…surgery scheduled on 12.12.12 (hope it will be lucky day for our little girl Emma)
And here are some photos from airoport and first days in new place in Netherlands
The operation was successful. Emma is recovering from anesthesia
