Cherry has very expressive and beautiful eyes, terrier’s fur and smart look. She was born in 2010, weight 17 kg, size 41 cm, around neck 35 cm, around chest 61 cm, sterilized, vaccinated.

There was an operation on 12/04/2017 and on her left hind paw a knee joint was stabilized (triple osteotomy of the lower leg – TTO triple tibial osteotomy). After the operation she actively uses this paw, as well as all the rest. In the future, 2-3 times a year, chondroprotectors can be given to maintain joints.

Her story: Someone had given our volunteer’s phone number and in February 2017 there was a call from a woman, who was asking for help. A bearded terrier dog appeared in the courtyards: The sufferer girl, smelly, dirty, limps, sleeps in the snow, eats from the garbage, runs the risk of getting under the car every minute. And the character is just wonderful. Affectionate, obedient, there is absolutely no aggression, understands all the words. The dog is clearly abandoned. The dog is very person-oriented. Goes to the leg, obeys the command “Stop! Come to me! Run!” She knows the staircase, she is not afraid to go inside the house.

We began to think about her where to bring her. The next day the woman called again and told us that she had gone to feed in the morning and tried on her a collar with a leash, and only leaned toward her, a huge man came behind her and started yelling: “Remove this f***ing dog!” and etc. It turned out that the dog was regretted by another woman also and for the night that woman let her into the entrance to warm up and sleep in a little corner on a rag. That man saw the dog and beat her with his feet at the door of the entrance … To keep the dog alive, the woman was able to negotiate with a shelter and had already taken the unfortunate creature there, but half turned and decided to make another attempt to help the girl. She managed to negotiate with friends and acquaintances, and the dog was allowed to go to a private site, as promised, with the opportunity to enter the barn (no one saw the yard, as people refused to show it).

Our nerves could not stand it, and we went to look at the sufferer, take blood tests, worm and fleas treatment and so on. And think about what to do next. But, seeing this charming creature, her gullible eyes and a thin belly (plus still pounding frosts), we could not stand it! Handed over analyzes took the dog, ran to Moscow on a way ringing all the fosters who is able to take her. Found an apartment foster and began to deal with her health. Cherry was already sterilized, limped on her left hind paw, X-ray revealed that there had already been an operation on the pelvic bones, there were also old fractures (most likely, the car was knocked down), and on the left lame paw there was a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint.

In April, an operation was made to stabilize the knee joint, after the operation the limp was gone. Now she lives in an apartment on a foster.

By the nature she is active, independent, but at the same time focused on people, likes walking. Affectionate, but unobtrusive. She doesn’t have any allergy, eats dry food, has a good appetite. Sometimes searches something tasty from a kitchen table.

Friendly to all people. She likes caresses and reaches out to it. Also friendly to children. On the foster she lives with children 8 and 10 years old (with little ones hasn’t been checked).

With dogs she is friendly, but unobtrusively, tries to keep neutrality, food interests her more J Indifferent to cats and other animals on the street. Goes well on a leash, doesn’t pull. Knows basic commands: “Come to me”, “Give a paw” and etc. Normally goes in a car. Calmly stays at home alone, doesn’t spoil, prefers to sleep on a sofa waiting for hosts. Accustomed for walks 2 time a day (But walks with pleasure an additional time too). To the toys is indifferent, all attention to food :)) on the street she can play a little, but more goes nearby, or sniffs out some food, the hungry past constantly makes itself felt
