Richka – born in winter 2012. I owe this dog too much … Rich got to the shelter as a puppy in 2012, with his two brothers. His brothers were quickly adopted, as they were brave and active. But Richie was the most humble and soft. He used to sit in the far corner, not bothering anyone. I put off his adoption till another time … to let him get used to his bad luck … And then we will work on it. New dogs came, I placed them with him in the cage, he was kind and friendly and could hardly hurt anyone. That is why they placed dogs, who were abused by the neighbours in other cages, to his cage with him. New dogs were also quickly adopted, Rich still sitting. As other dogs were easy to get along with, I arranged their adoption, and took Rich for a walk. Later other volunteers came and took care of him, but he always was waiting for me, greeting me with joy, waiting for a walk. But his eyes were so sad as if he was asking “When, when you will find a family for me?” I promised “Yes for sure, my dog” and put it off again. I know I was wrong I didn’t come to see him that often. That is why his adoption turned to be too long. But by now, he has become a different dog. He walks quietly with all volunteers, walks well on a leash or without it. He knows his name, he comes immediately when you call him. He can walk with other dogs, doesn’t do harm to anybody. Very kind and obedient dog. Rich will never find a family here in Russia. And now again he is looking at me with a shade of sadness in his eyes, waiting to hear good news … Maybe in Holland he will find his fortune, someone likes him, and will need him. Rich eats any kind of food- dry and natural. We cannot say about the toilet, because he is in the shelter. Cannot still say about going by car, as never tried it. Cannot say about cats either. Rich can be a second dog in a family. A separate house is better.
