Wij zijn superblij met Polkan, hij is hartstikke lief, knuffelt graag en gaat met plezier mee wandelen. Alles gaat ook goed, het lijkt al een beetje alsof hij al een hele tijd bij ons is.

Hoe deze avontuurlijke jongen in het asiel in Moskou terecht is gekomen is een ongelofelijk verhaal. Zijn avonturen waren via het internet te volgen. Polkan heeft via de snelwegen van Leningrad naar Moskou gelopen – zo’n 600 kilometer. Hij werd eerst gesignaleerd in Firsanovka, toen in Skhodnya, waar vrijwilligers hem hebben opgevangen. Er is gezocht naar zijn eigenaar, maar dat leverde niets op. Heel vreemd, hij had een halsband en een vlooienband om maar niemand reageerde. Polak moet dus ooit een huishond zijn geweest en waarom hij deze (bijna) wereldreis heeft gemaakt blijft onduidelijk. Polkan moet tijdens deze toch vaak om hulp hebben gevraagd; hij heeft echt een zeer hese blaf.

Houding tov volwassenen: Polkan heeft een vriendelijk karakter en vindt het leuk om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten. Hij kent nog geen commando’s, dus eigenlijk nog een open boek. Hij trekt ook nog wat aan de lijn en daar wordt momenteel hard aan gewerkt.

Houding tov kinderen: Goed, Polkan is lief en rustig bij kinderen.

Houding tov andere honden: We moeten even iets verduidelijken: Polkan zit nu in een hok in een asiel en als hij uit het hok wordt gehaald voor een wandeling dan negeert hij de honden die ook achter tralies zitten. Als hij buiten is en aan de lijn andere (misschien wel dezelfde honden) tegenkomt dan blaft hij. Het is geen vorm van agressie; we denken eerder dat hij wil zeggen – Hé, ik ben ook buiten, zie je mij! Hij kan het echt prima vinden met andere honden en kan ook zeker als tweede hond worden geplaatst.

Houding tov katten: Polkan vindt katten te spannend en zit ze achterna. Dus katten: Nee!

Kan alleen zijn: Onbekend, bij serieuze belangstelling kunnen we dit checken.

Autorijden: Goed. Polkan gaat rustig liggen.

Gezondheid: Polkan is gevaccineerd, gecastreerd, gechipt en heeft een dierenpaspoort.

Voorkeur woonomgeving: Een huis met een tuin zou voor Polkan ideaal zijn.

Voorkeur adoptanten: Polkan is een vrolijke, fysiek sterke, avontuurlijke en actieve hond; balletjes halen is niet zijn ding. Meneer wil rennen! Hij zou zeker op zijn plek zijn bij iemand (of een gezin) die hem begrijpt en de tijd en ruimte heeft om deze jongen te kunnen laten zijn wat hij is. Een vriendelijke, absoluut trouwe metgezel die graag buiten actief is en ’s avonds lekker aan uw voeten of naast u op de bank ligt.

Judging by the history on the Internet, the dog walked from the region along the Leningrad highway towards Moscow, the first mentions of were in the village Firsanovka, then in the city Skhodnya, then city Khimki, where activists took up his fate. Placed ads on various resources about the loss, he was clearly not homeless, he was found in a collar with a distinctive sign in the form of a yellow-green scotch wound on the tip of the collar, it also had a collar from ticks and fleas.

12. Attitudes towards other males and females – It’s hard to say something unequivocally, he lives in a shelter … Passing past other enclosures, he doesn’t pay any attention to dogs, but on a leash he can bark a couple of times, but it’s not similar to aggression.

It is difficult to say something about other animals, how it will interact with them. He accepts dogs absolutely good.
