MAART 2019
Malta Update!
Ze is nu een week hier, en we zijn allemaal al een beetje aan elkaar gewend. Malta houdt vooral van de zoon, die kan echt geen stap verzetten zonder dat Malta tegen zijn been kleeft of neerzitten zonder een Malta erbovenop.
Ze is echt gek op eten, vuilnisbakken zijn voor haar niet veilig en vingers ook niet, dus één van de prioriteiten was “zachtjes” leren, dit heeft ze nu wel onder knie. Als ze los is in de tuin komt ze netjes als je haar roept (nadat ze eerst heeft afgerond wat ze bezig as natuurlijk)
Balspelletjes doet ze niet, maar omdat Finley compleet gefocust is op de bal en zij achter de baljagende Fin aanzit komt zij ook hijgend en lachend binnen. Nadat ze de eerste keer achter Fin het water is ingedoken en zo geschrokken is, houdt ze het liefst alle poten op de grond, pootjebaden is wel genoeg vindt ze. Ben benieuwd of ze deze zomer van gedachten verandert 😀
Houding tov volwassenen: Goed. Ze is erg communicatief en heel aanhankelijk. Ze kent nog niet veel commando’s; het enige wat ze beheerst is ‘zit’. Ze loopt zonder te trekken netjes mee aan de lijn. Ze houdt er niet van als u haar bij de halsband pakt; echter wanneer u de lijn vastmaakt aan de halsband volgt ze direct.
Houding tov kinderen: Goed. Malta is dol op kinderen.
Houding tov andere honden: Goed met reutjes, als er een reu in de buurt is kan ze kattig zijn naar andere teefjes; zij wil gewoon alle aandacht van de andere sexe.
Houding tov katten: Goed. Ze leeft nu ook met katten samen.
Kan alleen zijn: Goed met de aantekening dat er nu altijd andere dieren om haar heen zijn als het baasje er niet is.
Autorijden: Goed. Ook reizen per openbaar vervoer gaat prima.
Gezondheid: Malta is gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en heeft een dierenpaspoort.
Voorkeur woonomgeving: Bij voorkeur een huis met een tuin waar ze haar energie kwijt kan en achter een balletje aan kan rennen.
Voorkeur adoptanten: Malta is een jonge, actieve hond die graag speelt en wandelt. De wandelingen kunnen wat haar betreft niet lang genoeg zijn. Ze past prima bij een actief gezin of een persoon of koppel dat er met haar op uit wil trekken. Een cursus is ook een prachtige manier om met haar bezig te zijn. Loslopen kan pas wanneer u samen een goede band hebt opgebouwd; ze heeft nu neigingen om niet snel terug te komen want mevrouw wil rennen, rennen, rennen.

Malta was found outdoors: she just followed my neighbor with a small child, who brought her to me. Malta immediately got comfortable with me in my place. On the first day, my dogs chased her, and she ran away from them. On the second day, they were already playing all together. Malta is very good-natured, very quickly gets attached to the human; she also communicates well with kids, which has been verified with a small child.
