Toen ik jou van Rusland naar Nederland liet komen had ik eigenlijk geen idee wat me te wachten stond. Niet alleen was alles nieuw voor jou, je bleek ook nog eens niet behandelde beenbreuken te hebben. Na je operaties heb ik steeds naast je wakker gelegen, om op je te letten en je te steunen, en jij sloeg je overal zo dapper doorheen. Ondanks alles wat jou was aangedaan bleef je vrolijk en wist je mij op de juiste momenten met je liefde te overspoelen. Zoveel karakter, zoveel liefde, zoveel goedheid en geen enkele wrok. Daar kan menig mens nog een hoop van leren.
Lieve Stoli, ik had je nog zoveel onbezorgde dagen gegund, maar het heeft niet zo mogen zijn. Gelukkig heb je in jou korte leven wel nog echte liefde, warmte en goed voedsel gekend. Iets wat veel van je vriendjes in Rusland helaas nog niet kunnen zeggen.
Funtik (2) – de ideale stadshond!
Omdat Funtik klein en kortharig is, is hij uitermate geschikt als ‘stadshond’.
Funtik is op straat gevonden en door de vrijwilligers naar het asiel gebracht. We denken dat hij ooit een baasje heeft gehad – hij zoekt zelf contact met mensen en pikt verschillende commando’s heel snel op.
Houding naar volwassenen: prima, totaal niet agressief, zodra ’t kan gaat hij op mensen af om hen te begroeten en geaaid te worden.
Houding naar kinderen: Ideale gezinshond; lief en zachtaardig. Funtik houdt van rennen en springen; tja hij is nog zo jong… Hij speelt met alles en iedereen.
Houding naar andere honden: hij zit nu in een omgeving met andere honden en dat gaat prima. Hij is uitermate geschikt om als tweede (of misschien zelfs als derde) hond te worden geplaatst.
Houding naar katten: ach Funtik vindt alles en iedereen leuk, dus lijkt (met wat aansturing) geen probleem te zijn.
Gezinssamenstelling: Funtik past overal waar beweging is.

Health –he is healthy dog, vaccinated by his age, has a chip.
Attitude towards adults – perfect, no aggression at all, very fond of care and affection. He has wonderful character. As soon as he is discharged from the aviary, he immediately runs to hug and snuggle with people.
Attitude towards children – ideal for the family with children, absolutely non-aggressive, very kind and tender dog. Funtik is fond of running and jumping because he is still young enough. He will be a good player in every game and every team!
Attitude towards other dogs – now he lives in an aviary with other dogs and he is good with them. Can be a second or third dog in the family.
Attitude towards cats – we think it depends on his owner and if he will be prepared to explain to Funtik that cats are his friends also.
Preferable residence – preferably city apartments, because Funtik has very short fur and it will certainly be cold for him to spent a lot of time on the street. But the main thing for him is to be loved, fed, walked and patted often. He is good in walking on a leash, not pulling.
Owner preference – fits perfectly in any family, or families with young children, or elderly people, families with dogs.
History, particularities – his story is very common for Russia. He was found on the street. One of our volunteers picked him up and took to the shelter. We think he is a former home dog – he began to contact with people at once and very good in learning different commands. Funtik is not so big dog and he is very lightweight – he will be ideal city dog!
