Helaas heb ik tijdens onze vakantie Fasol in het dierenziekenhuis in Barendrecht moeten laten inslapen. Fasol was sinds febr. 2019 bij mij en was een hele beste hond.

Het gaat heel goed, vind ik. Fasol was niet zindelijk. Maar dat kwam omdat ze buiten niets durfde te doen. Nadat ik haar wat vrijheid had gegeven, ging ze een lekker plekje zoeken en even naar de WC. Het probleem was gelijk opgelost. Sindsdien heeft ze niets meer in huis gedaan.

Met uitlaten gaan we bijna altijd naar het zelfde park en daar is ze nu gewend, ze weet de weg.  Voor vreemde honden was ze in het begin bang en nu alleen nog maar voorzichtig. De mensen in het park kennen haar ook. Oh daar heb je dat russinnetje. Het gaat goed hé? Ja hoor, het gaat héél goed. En iedereen aardig tegen haar doen. Dat geeft haar natuurlijk wel vertrouwen.

Ze mist wel haar verzorgsters. Eén van de foto’s is bij de sporthal, daar moet ze altijd even kijken. Misschien lijkt het een beetje op Rusland.  En als er dan ook nog een auto staat, dan zie haar denken: Ze zijn hier.

Zondag ging de bel. Luna begint te blaffen. En Fasol begint mee te blaffen. Dat was voor het eerst dat ze blafte. Toen dacht ik, die voelt zich wel thuis.

Fasol wacht al twee jaar in het asiel op haar match. Zoals zoveel honden kwam ze ooit om onbekende redenen in het asielhok terecht. Daar trok ze door haar enthousiasme de aandacht van een vrijwilligster. Die bezoekt haar sindsdien zo vaak als mogelijk. Fasol geniet van deze ontmoetingen, dan mag ze uit haar hok en lekker wandelen. Met speeltjes heeft ze niets, ze vindt ze soms zelfs eng. Fasol heeft de gave om actie en rust goed te balanceren.

Fasol is een heel sociale hond en kan prima bij een gezin met wat oudere kinderen; ze houdt wel van actie! Ze loopt in principe netjes mee aan de riem. Nu trekt ze in het begin als ze voor een wandeling wordt meegenomen, maar laat zich goed corrigeren. Ze is echt superslim en heeft snel door wat er van haar wordt verwacht. Ze heeft ook een wat onzekere kant en dan verschuilt ze zich snel achter haar baasje.

Houding tov volwassenen: Goed. Fasol vindt het leuk om onbekende mensen te ontmoeten.

Houding tov kinderen: Goed met wat oudere kinderen. Fasol is groot en impulsief en kan daardoor kleine kinderen zo omver lopen.

Houding tov andere honden: Goed. Fasol is absoluut conflict vermijdend. Vind je me niet leuk, dan loop ik door! Ze kan heel goed als tweede hond worden geplaatst.

Houding tov katten: Onbekend.

Kan alleen zijn: Onbekend. Fasol kent slechts het asiel leven.

Autorijden: Onbekend.

Gezondheid: Fasol is gevaccineerd, gechipt, gesteriliseerd en heeft een dierenpaspoort.

Voorkeur woonomgeving: Geen voorkeur.

5. Health – the dog is clinically healthy, no visible health problems, excellent appetite, immunity
6. Castration / Sterilization – sterilized. Chipped. Vaccinated.
7. The history of the dog – the story is unknown. Just once we saw her sitting in her aviary. Two last years Fasol has been living in the shelter and waiting for her soulmate! Her volunteer has cared her for the last two years.
8. Nutrition – Fasol likes a lot of porridge with meat, when we come to the shelter – then be sure to treat it. The rest of the days, she eats dry food. Goodies likes.
9. Nature – general temperament – Fasol is an active and smart dog, too fussy. But in an unfamiliar, unknown place she likes to hide behind the owner’s back, cuddling up to you, seeking protection from you. Like a child behavior.
10. Attitude towards adults – Friendly to all and unfamiliar people also. Aggression does not show at all. Goes straight to the contact.
11. Attitude towards children – able to stay in a family with children, but not very small. Fasol is an impulsive and energetic dog. Big dog
12. Attitude to other males and females – with dogs any type is friendly, does not show aggression. The contact goes well. Feels good and avoid the contact of aggressive dogs, escapes conflict.

20. Toys – the dog sluggishly reacts to toys, rather, they frighten her, loud and sharp sounds, apparently for her, are associated with something unpleasant
21. Wishes for the owners – fits to become the second dog in the family – Fasol is a contact and sociable dog. Fasol is better for a young and active family. Although Fasol skillfully combines games and rest. Able to become kids friend (not small kids) the dog is big and active
